Recorded in 1991. Cheshire Cat Moon has a gentle folk flavor.  Produced by Kara and Grey Larsen.  Sister Pam Barnard sings back up vocals, Abby Peach handles the percussion and Grey sits in on several cuts.

The Water's Edge is Kara's 1997 release, first with guitarist Troy Seele.  Recorded at the Medicine Lodge, these songs have a harder edge than her other recordings.  Popular with radio programmers, The Water's Edge was produced by Kara.

Kara's third CD, Home, also recorded at the Medicine Lodge, was released in November of 1999.  The eighteen (!) cuts include some of Kara's best songwriting to date, and overall the CD is more bluegrass in flavor than any of her previous releases.

Kara's fourth CD, Fret Hopping In Brown County, is a solo instrumental disc, recorded at Softsound Studio with Marg Herder engineering.  Every instrument on every track of this CD was played by Kara.  Released in March of 2001, the disc features 22 tunes, from original solo fingerstyle guitar pieces to new arrangments of bluegrass standards.

Kara's fifth CD, Dishpan Brigade, is an exciting collection of traditional bluegrass tunes and originals, recorded with Wishing Chair (Kiya Heartwook and Miriam Davidson) at Terrakin Farm with Kiya engineering.  Released in June of 2003, the disc is full of great energy and amazing musicality.

Kara's sixth CD, Brown County Waltz, features twenty more instrumental selections palyed by Kara.  Released in June of 2004, the disc was recorded by Mandy Miller and Dionne Ward at Swirling Turtle Studios, Indianapolis, and mixed by Dave Weber at Airtime Studio in Bloomington, IN.
